Grilled Ontario Jupiter grapes are skewered with cheese, salami and fresh basil - what could be simpler? This is appetizer is the perfect accompaniment to a summer BBQ.

Ingredients

1 cup (250 mL)Ontario Jupiter grapes
2 tsp (10 mL)balsamic vinegar
2 tsp (10 mL)oil
1/4 tsp (1 mL) eachsalt and pepper
1/2 cup (125 mL)sliced cherry tomatoes
1/2 cup (125 mL)sliced cocktail size bocconcini
1 tbsp (15 mL)pesto
12 leavesfresh basil
12 slicessalami

Cooking Direction

Preheat grill to 400°F (200°C). In a medium-sized bowl, toss grapes with balsamic vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Place grapes and sliced cherry tomatoes in a grilling basket and cook for 4 minutes or until grape skin is just wrinkled.

In a small bowl, toss bocconcini with pesto.

Skewer grilled grapes, bocconcini, fresh basil, cherry tomatoes and salami onto a long toothpick. Repeat 11 times, or until all ingredients are used.
